Pierre-Olivier Demeule

Architect AIBC, OAQ, BArch, MArch, MSc

podemeule@localpractice.ca

Pierre-Olivier graduated from Université Laval's dual master's programme in architecture and science. Through this programme, he collaborated with First Nations organisations, researchers, and professionals, addressing issues such as the cultural adequacy of the northern built environment, the impact of climate warming on the tundra, and the housing crisis within Inuit communities. This experience enriched his professional path, which has since involved several community-oriented architecture, artistic and research projects.

Creative, outgoing and deeply interested in restoring our relationship with the living, Pierre-Olivier sees architecture as a bridge between the various paradigms that surround us. Outside the office, he spends his time on his bicycle, swimming in rivers or lakes, and cooking seasonal goods.
