Maru Kim is dedicated to how architecture can improve the well-being of people in tandem with the social fabric and environment in which they live through minimal and elegant interventions. With a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Architectural Science from BCIT, he has a comprehensive understanding of the design process from concept to construction. However, it is his commitment to sustainable design principles that drives his work, emphasizing energy efficiency, thoughtful consideration of building occupants, and environmentally conscious building practices. He loves to immerse himself in activities in which people and nature interact such as rock climbing and long bike-packing journeys.
