Josh has a detailed eye, focused on the precision of craft and the process of making, and has used these skills in analog and digital formats in a range of ways: graphically representing ideas, process modelling, fabricating industrial design prototypes and building architectural exhibition models. Previous to his employment at Local Practice, Josh worked in Denmark where he deepened his knowledge of craft and clarity of idea, gleaning from the rich history of Danish design. He also has a passion for and has spent time researching social sustainability, in particular how people share space, now and historically. This is complemented by his previous experience living in a co-operative community and now raising a young family within a tight community of other families.
